Life Perspectives

13 Sept 2012 The day my life changed forever. My husband gave his life defending our country. The greatest gift he has given me is the strength to endure and carry on. Kyle is giving me this strength so that I can learn to live life to its fullest, the same way he did.

Now I'm not going to go into the nitty gritty details because my new strength in life allows me to look forward and to my future. Maybe at another date I will be strong enough to share more.

I have made the conscience decision to live each day to its fullest in what I know makes me happy. Happiness is my new life goal and to become an inspiration to others. Kyle inspired so many people and touched so many lives that I can only hope to live up to this memory. I know that I have help from above on this new adventure with more twists and turns to come, but I have my head high knowing that my future is now for me!

Readers who have been anxiously awaiting my return or if there is anyone left out there here is my tribute to my inspiration: In Loving Memory of SGT Kyle Bruce Osborn.

From Thomas Klason

I am posting this for Maggie. We were notified that Kyle was killed in action in Afghanistan. We don't know anymore details at this time and Maggie asks that we respect her privacy as she deals with this situation. She appreciates everyone's support and condolences and that we should not only mourn the loss of Kyle but celebrate such an amazing and accomplished man. He was doing what he loved, serving his country, and for that we are all proud. Please keep Maggie and all the family in your thoughts and prayers!

School and touring

These past couple weeks have kept me on my toes! School started back up again and this semester is busier than the last including a required trip to the states for in house sessions. This week I figured I procrastinated enough on buying my ticket but finally did. I'll be back in early November long enough for the school visit and to spend some good quality time with the fam.

Since This past Saturday I've been neglecting my school a bit and been playing host and tour guide to my first house guests! The brave first tour group consisting of my sister Kirstin brother in law Alex and nephew Callan have kept me busy! Including Venice Florence Verona lake Garda and all the other big sites to see here in Northern Italy they were troopers! Even Callan enjoyed touring and having all the Italians (and some other tourists) fawn over his cuteness everywhere we went! It has been go go go all week and even though I'll be sad to have them leave ( mainly because Tucker has found a new play thing to follow around and lick-Callan, and a new rough play buddy-Kirstin) I'll be happy to get back into my ol routine again! thanks guys for the company, makes this deployment go a heck of a lot faster! Here is a smattering of pics from their visit!

Ready for break

I have looked forward to this week for what feels like forever! it's finally he last week in class for this semester. I have a two week break then fall semester starts but I'm so excited for those two weeks. I actually get to sleep! I think that means I get to treat myself to a trip one of these weekend since I won't be spending it catching up on sleep and homework!

Things on the home format have been calm after two weekends of being away I know I wasn't the only one ready to just be home! Roo enjoyed visiting with friends but I think he would rather be home so he can get his 22 hours of sleep in for the day :)

In case I forget to post this weekend happy birthday to my love! Hope that present gets there in time! And to my MIL Miriam- no more waiting to open that present-Hope each of your days are special!

Lifestyle of the Rich and the Famous!!!

This weekend was, in one word, awesome! My fellow Minnesotan and I traveled to Mentone, Monaco, and Monte Carlo this weekend! It was a long bus ride, 7 hours each way, but to me totally worth it. Again Im going to give you all a smattering of pics but in summary here is what we got to see. Stop in Mentone, a seaside town for some breakfast and exploring the local markets, Monaco-Cathedral of Monaco where Grace Kelly was married, took a break in a local park to sit and watch the water....ahm yachts drive by, watched the changing of the guard, toured the Royal apartment (sorry no pics), Monte Carlo- enjoyed some beach time, Monte Carlo casino (again no pics of the inside where I dismally lost my 5Euro-im a high roller what can I say, gawked and rediculous cars in front of the casino and just simply took in the area. It was a such a beautiful area and I really hope I get the chance to return, maybe to ride on one of those yachts, big dreams, or maybe just dragging the hubby would suffice! Enjoy!
