One last weekend

This past weekend we decided to just stay home and enjoy our short time together soon Kyle will be deploying. We did however take one last adventure together for this year paragliding! Yep I actually jumped off the top of a mountain!! It was scary at first then thrilling... After getting over some slight motion sickness I was able to enjoy the sights and ignore the fact that just a thin piece of material was keeping me and my guide from plummeting to the ground.. I'll post some pics of the amazing views later...

To hold you over here is a pic or Roo helping his daddy pack. he definitely knows somethings going on as he has been extra snugly lately. I'll take it anyway cuz he is just so darn cute!

Pisa & Cinque Terre

Well another weekend another adventure, this time the whole family got to come! Tucker thoroughly enjoyed himself as we explored Pisa and Cinque Terre. The three of us drove down to Pisa and did the touristy thing, including many various posed pictures with the Leaning tower. After exhausting out the little puppy we headed to our hotel in nearby Tirrenia. The hotel had a pool and a beach side view which we took full advantage of!

In our exploring later while letting the little Roo recover we conveniently went to downtown Pisa in the middle of Luminaria di San Rainieri. The town of Pisa came together to celebrate the day their patron saint's ashes were laid to rest.  In the saints honor they lite 80,000 candles lighting all the buildings along the river and with gusto shot off an amazing fireworks show to kick off the night. This was by far my favorite part of the evening. With an entire show put together with music and lights! I recommend everyone to try and make it to this!

Sunday we relaxed in our hotel room and enjoyed an actual breakfast, not one of those measly Italian espresso's and pastry, before heading up the coast to Cinque Terra. We decided on the little seaside town of Manarola. It was so beautiful and cozy that we will definitely be staying there for another long weekend in the future!!!

Germany

Well I know this is late but I am finding less and less time to blog...sorry readers! We recently traveled to Germany for a marriage retreat and stayed through the weekend after it concluded to enjoy the sights. We stayed at the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort in Garmish Germany which has by far been our most enjoyable  trip yet. It was just soo nice to stay in our 'up to American standards' type of hotel which was conveniently run by the armed forces...aka english speakers, 4 american food full service restaurants, all the amenities, including a full bathroom and shower in our room, extra pillows when requested (this girl loves pillows) plus the comfort of a trustworthy staff!

Here is a picture recap of our adventures in Germany including: Edelweiss Lodge and surrounding Garmisch area, Dachau Concentration camp, downtown Munich, Neuschwanstein Castle, and much more. We thoroughly enjoyed this more relaxing vacation and can't wait to take another here! Great german food and a more 'close to home' feel for me more than anywhere we have been, Enjoy!
